Red Cross Honors Nurses during National Nurses Week
Nurses have been part of the American Red Cross almost since its inception. Today nurses serve the organization in many different capacities, from management and supervisory roles to helping disaster victims directly as part of disaster response teams.
The American Red Cross was founded in 1881 by Clara Barton, a nurse who served in the Civil War. To this date, nurses continue to be integral to the American Red Cross mission and essential for providing relief to our clients. Nurses and health care professionals provide assistance to those affected by disasters both small and large.
The South Florida Region currently has an immediate need for health care professionals with the following licenses/certifications: RN, CNA, LPN, EMT, Doctors and Physicians.
