Quality Socks Heading to the Troops

Last December, the American Red Cross teamed up with the congregation of Grace Lutheran Church in Naples to provide thousands of high-quality socks to troops stationed overseas. As it turns out, thanks to Grace Lutheran, we have more socks than we first thought. Today, Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces Coordinator Jeremy Gentile and AmeriCorps member Ed Wilkas are delivering several thousand more socks to Lee Memorial Health System’s military support program. Lee Memorial’s program, headed up by Kim Gaide, routinely delivers care packages to troops stationed in remote areas around the world. We would like to thank Grace Lutheran, Lee Memorial and all the Red Cross volunteers who continue to support Red Cross services to the armed forces.
