Red Cross Active in 13 States
Since March 28, the American Red Cross has responded to severe weather events in 13 states. Floods, tornadoes and severe weather have destroyed homes and uprooted lives and the Red Cross was there to provide food, shelter, emotional support and essential relief supplies to help victims begin to recover. The Red Cross depends on the generous donations from the American people to help disaster survivors.
This includes disasters across the state of Florida — 325 homes were affected by the March 31 tornadoes; 14 were destroyed and 85 suffered major damage. Several homes were also reported damaged from yesterdays severe spring weather.
