Big wheels keep on turning

The Ocean to Lake Bike ride this past Sunday was a huge success! More than 350 riders came out and got their cycle on….riding either 100 miles, 62 miles, 30 miles or the family-friendly 5.8 miles.

All riders started from Jensen Beach, with the 100 mile “Century” riders and the 62 mile “Metric Century” riders headed to Lake Okeechobee, while the 30 mile “County Coast to County Coast” riders headed up A1A to South Beach Park.

For those who may wonder what biking 100 miles would be like (or those who did bike Ocean-to-Lake and want to relive the ride), check out this video montage of footage from the Century route, taken by Tim Stone:

Families and children joined in on the Family Fun Ride to the Elliott museum, while the youngest of riders – like the cyclist in the video below – joined the Tyke-a-Thon.

(And don’t worry, our young friend giggled about his small run-in with the curb before turning around and continuing his impromptu route!)

Head over to our YouTube page for more videos and short interviewers with the riders, or browse the pictures on our Flickr page.
