Get Trained in CPR/AED and Save a Life!

Did you know that eighty percent of all cardiac emergencies happen at home? Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of people over the age of 45, and is a risk factor in sudden cardiac arrest, which kills over 300,000 every year.

Knowing how to perform CPR and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) are essential life skills, and can be the difference between life and death in a cardiac emergency. For every minute that passes between sudden cardiac arrest and defibrillation, survival rate decreases 7% to 10%.

The American Red Cross can give you the training you need to be ready to respond in an emergency situation with skills that can save a life through First Aid, CPR, and AED courses.

We are offering First Aid/ CPR/AED classes throughout the summer months at our chapter at 7051 Cypress Terrace #110, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Visit to register or to receive additional information.  You can also visit your local Red Cross chapter web site for schedules.

Combining lecture, video demonstrations and hands-on manikin training, this course teaches participants to:

  • Call and work with EMS
  • Perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies
  • Avoid bloodborne pathogens exposure
  • Know the role of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in the Cardiac Chain of Survival
