Get Trained in CPR/AED and Save a Life!
Knowing how to perform CPR and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) are essential life skills, and can be the difference between life and death in a cardiac emergency. For every minute that passes between sudden cardiac arrest and defibrillation, survival rate decreases 7% to 10%.
The American Red Cross can give you the training you need to be ready to respond in an emergency situation with skills that can save a life through First Aid, CPR, and AED courses.
We are offering First Aid/ CPR/AED classes throughout the summer months at our chapter at 7051 Cypress Terrace #110, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Visit http://arclcc.org/ to register or to receive additional information. You can also visit your local Red Cross chapter web site for schedules.
Combining lecture, video demonstrations and hands-on manikin training, this course teaches participants to:
- Call and work with EMS
- Perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies
- Avoid bloodborne pathogens exposure
- Know the role of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in the Cardiac Chain of Survival
